Our latest internal piece, Chocolate, has been released. Click above to check it out!
EXECUTION:
This animation evolved from an internal print design. Our motivation was to create a slightly abstract piece that followed a loose narrative. The original design was blocked into various segments that seamlessly translated into style-frames for the motion. Various techniques were employed to recreate the mixed-media style of the print design. A majority of the piece uses traditional animation – both digital and organic – executed in After Effects. Additional objects were modeled and animated in Cinema 4D and 3ds Max. Most of our characters were shot as live action and rotoscoped to match the illustrative style of the rest of the piece. Other body parts, faces, and design elements were created and hand-animated using Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
