This television spot created for Tokyo-based agency Daiko and prodco Vacances introduces a limited-edition flavor in Kirin's popular Chu-Hi line of vodka coolers: Apple Nouveau. It was important to the agency and the client to create a connection between the new product and the very popular and established existing flavors. And all in 15 seconds.
The story begins with our hero dropping an apple from the roof of a trendy apartment complex. During the apple's free-fall, we briefly see various people enjoying other flavors in the Kirin Chu-Hi line - lemon and grapefruit. The apple then falls into the hands of an excited heroine as it transforms into a can of the new flavor. Then final shot reveals the hero and heroine united as they enjoy Apple Nouveau while we close with a table-top shot of the product.
